Nick Allen's Xtreme show is a parody of all aspects of television, radio, entertainment... in fact all of life itself! Don't take it too seriously. (Life, that is) Take Nick Allen's Xtreme Show as seriously as you want too. It draws inspiration from such diverse places as: Television shows like Saturday Night Live (Back when it was funny, that is.) Commedians such as Bob & Ray, Garrison Keillor, Bob Newhart, David Letterman, Jack Benny. The view that seems to be taken by Head Writer Brian Boswell is that life is funny, everyone is bizzarre, and any circumstance can have humor in it.

Nick Allen's Xtreme Show parodies anyone who takes themselves seriously. but especially vulnerable seems to be: Media personalities, doctors, lawyers, psychologists, politicians, and any other elitists you can think of. Enjoy Nick Allen's Xtreme Show on the surface for its fun skew on life, but if you want to dig deeper, there's always something else to find. For example, in an early episode, one caller to Grey Matters named Frank calls in for advice on his nervous reactions to talking to the opposite sex. Frank lives in Palm Springs, and one of the reactions he complains about is his "profusely sweating palms." It doesn't seem to be a coincidence that he gets sweaty palms, and lives in Palm Springs.

Nick Allen's Xtreme Show is currently shot and broadcast in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Principle players are: Lee Daly as Nick Allen, Tony Lemmon, Jennifer Boswell, Debbie Lemmon, and Brian Boswell in various parts. Brian Boswell created the show and also produces, directs and edits the show, and is responsible for any music needed for the show.
